Pemanfaatan Media Sosial dalam Manajemen Dakwah di Pondok Pesantren Gontor

Abstract


In this fast-paced and modernized era of information and digital communication, the educational institution Pondok Pesantren Gontor leverages social media as a means to widely disseminate Islamic preaching and educate the community. The aim of this study is to understand how digital media is utilized at Pondok Pesantren Gontor, particularly through the Gontor TV PMDG social media account. This study also serves as a primary reference for Gontor Pesantren itself and other educational institutions to consistently and maximally utilize digital technology, with the hope of spreading Islamic preaching and viewing the existence of digital technology positively. This research uses qualitative methods with in-depth interviews with several managers of Gontor TV social media accounts, as well as content analysis using text analysis methods to understand the messages and meanings conveyed in the preaching. The results show that the utilization of digital media by Pesantren Gontor provides several benefits to the community, namely: 1) Education for the Community by providing reliable information; 2) Spreading Islamic Preaching; 3) Providing Information about Pondok Pesantren Gontor.
