School System Management in Supporting the Learning Process at Minhajut Thullab Islamic Boarding School, Southeast Sulawesi

Abstract


The digital transformation in the field of education has encouraged Islamic educational institutions, including pesantren, to adopt technology-based information systems in order to improve the quality of academic services. One of the innovations implemented is the digital school, an application- based system that enables integration of learning processes, grade management, student attendance, and communication between the school and students’ guardians. This study aims to examine the management of digital schools in supporting the learning process and to identify the supporting factors and challenges in managing the digital school at Pesantren Minhajut Thullab, Southeast Sulawesi. This research uses a qualitative approach with descriptive-analytical methods through direct interviews with key informants (IT staff of the pesantren), literature review, and analysis of internal policy documents. The findings show that the digital school is managed through integrated application planning, task distribution to dedicated operators, and infrastructure support in the form of separate servers for each educational level. Key supporting factors in the implementation of the digital school include the need for efficiency, active involvement of students’ guardians, and strong institutional management support. Meanwhile, challenges include limited human resources and technical issues in the early stages of implementation. This study recommends strengthening the supervision function and improving digital literacy among all users to ensure optimal digital school management.
