Kendala Guru dalam Menggunakan Media Pembelajaran Berbasis IT di MAN 1 Bombana

Abstract


This study aims to provide an explanation of the challenges faced by teachers in utilizing IT-based instructional media at MAN 1 Bombana. The primary issue addressed in this research is the obstacles encountered by teachers when using IT-based teaching tools at the school. The findings of this study are expected to offer insight into the difficulties teachers experience in integrating IT into classroom instruction. A qualitative approach with a descriptive research design was employed in this study. Data collection was conducted through observation and interviews. The data were analyzed using the processes of data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The subjects involved in this research consisted of six teachers who teach at grades X through XII. Based on the analysis, several key challenges were identified in teachers’ use of IT in the classroom. First, a lack of understanding among teachers regarding IT-based media. Second, unstable electricity supply and inconsistent Wi-Fi connectivity within the school. The study concludes that teachers still face significant barriers in operating IT tools for teaching purposes. These include limited knowledge of IT, unstable power sources, inadequate internet coverage across classrooms, and the absence of institutional policies mandating the use of IT in the teaching and learning process.
